Busy Me

I was given this assignment to start a blog.  The instructor said we can write about anything we want, but these blog web sites tells us to write something interesting.  I sat here staring at my laptop not knowing what to write about.  The first part of the instruction is to introduce myself.  My name is Regina, I go by Regi.  I will not reveal my age for I am much older than I look.  I am a current student at ECPI University in Virginia Beach.  I am working on getting my degree in Business Administration with a concentration in IT Management.  I am also a busy mom and wife, so finding time to do things is hard.

I work at a furniture store as an Assistant Manager and Office Manager, I have been at the same job for 18 years.  One of my hobbies is finishing and refinishing furniture.

I am involved helping my mother with her charity events.  The charity involves helping build schools and provide schools supplies to children in the Philippines who live in rural areas and can't afford to go to school.  I am also a member of the Norfolk Sister City Association, a nonprofit organization that promotes peace through cultural understanding and respect.

Another hobby I have is running for good causes. The girl is also starting to show interest in running too.  

My husband and I have been married for a long time.  We have two kids, the girl and the boy.  Spending time with family is important to me.  My favorite thing to do is long bike rides with my husband.  The girl keeps me busy, especially now since summer vacation just started.  

Trying to find the time to spend with the family is challenging, especially when I work full time and attend school.  It is going to be more challenging when the summer activities begin, making my summer weeks very busy.
